FAQ

Most frequent questions and answers

Is my deposit refundable?

Your deposit is non-refundable, but you may request a reschedule if notice is provided two week prior to the date of the trip. If a trip is cancelled due to inclement weather or other outside conditions, the deposit will be applied to that trip.

Do you guarantee fish?

Fishing is called fishing for a reason. If we caught fish every single trip, you wouldn’t need a guide. I’m not a magic fish whisperer, I can’t make fish magically appear. We will put in the hours and work to put you on fish, but sometimes the stars don’t align and we go home without a single chance. In the unlikely event that your trip is fishless, we will extend a 30% discount on your next trip to help take the sting off.

What do I need to bring?

Food and drink to get you through the day, weather appropriate clothing. Some of the best fishing happens in the pouring rain, and we fish rain or shine so long as the conditions permit. Bring layers and rain gear in the fall, sunscreen and water in the summer. If you would prefer to fish with your own rod or tackle you may, although all gear and tackle will be provided.

Where is Notellum Creek?

Notellum Creek is vast and winding and we will be fishing in one of its numerous forks. These include, but are not limited to the Satsop, Wynoochee, Humptulips, Queets, and Kalama rivers. It’s not a secret, but we make a conscious effort to keep angling pressure spread out by not creating too much exposure to any one fishery. One guide report on a names river can create a rush on that spot drawing an uncomfortable crowd to a potentially overfished area. With that in mind, river names and locations will be discussed with your guide before your trip.
